Happy New Year to all!
We would like to start off the year by welcoming recent new members: Don King, Thomas Yan and Glenda Steffler. We hope you will enjoy all the new activities that BB&C can offer in 2012.
We were deeply saddened by the passing of long time member, Joan McIlmoyl Cleghorn, in early November. It was a great shock to us all as Joan had been so active in our organization for so many years. She served on the executive in a variety of capacities including President and led SIGs in a number of areas of interest. She generously helped members with computer problems and worked many hours at the Clubhouse.
A former long time member has also died recently at the age of 91, Jim Dunkley. Jim was very active in club activities into his early eighties and kept in touch with several club members until his illness made it impossible.
Ken Beattie organized another great Christmas photo shoot this year. It was at Heritage Acres and the evening was crisp and clear, great for taking photos. Some of the group enjoyed hot beverages to warm them up while others just kept on looking for great shots.
Ken is also to be congratulated for his award winning Nativity lighting display at his home over the Christmas holidays.
Another enjoyable Christmas dinner and social evening was held this year. Santa was in attendance and gifts distributed. Thanks to William for all his hard work and to the Jolly Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule.
